NURSING FACULTY - SIMULATION

LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our faculty as a school of nursing excellence within an academic health sciences center environment. Our nursing faculty have the opportunity to educate future nurses at the BSN, MN/MSN, DNS and DNP level, including state-of-art simulation laboratories; conduct nursing & interdisciplinary research; engage in faculty practice, including our nurse-run clinics; pursue entrepreneurial and consultative activities; and serve as a nursing leader and development of leadership skills through our Emergent Nurse Leader Program.

Incumbent will provide instructional and technical support for the day-to-day operations in the human simulation educational laboratories, within our Nursing Skills & Technology Center; support all clinical learning lab and simulated patient care learning experiences to successfully complete evidence-based learning opportunities in simulated patient care environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or related field, Doctorate Degree required for Assistant Professor or higher rank. • Ability to effectively manage a highly complex and high paced laboratory environment with careful attention to details and safety; Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications relevant to simulation & learning labs; Ability to collaborate

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree in Nursing or health related field

• BLS CPR Instructor certification (also ACLS and/or PALS); Certification in any nursing specialty

• Experience working with/and disposal of chemicals & bio-hazardous materials and familiarity with state & federal regulations; Experience in maintaining simulation laboratory inventories, supplies & equipment.
