Job Summary | The University of Kentucky, College of Nursing Undergraduate Program is seeking a Lecturer Title Series (tenure-ineligible) Lecturer. This position is a 10-month appointment (August 1-May 31) with an anticipated Distribution of Effort of about 90% Teaching and Advising, and 10% Service/Professional Development which will be reviewed annually. We anticipate a start date of August 1, 2025, but not later than October 1, 2025. This position, onsite, and based in Lexington, KY, will assist and resource the Undergraduate programs within the College of Nursing. The primary focus of this position is to a focus on student achievement and development in the undergraduate nursing program. This position aims to enhance student retention, progression, and graduation rates through evidence-based teaching, advising, and mentorship strategies. Knowledge of best practices in student persistence, success strategies, and adaptative instructional methods preferred. The candidate should have demonstrated a commitment to student centered teaching and academic advising. Experience using data and educational technology to support student learning and track student academic progress. The candidate is expected to bring expertise in nursing education, academic support strategies, and data-informed approaches to improving student outcomes. This position is expected to collaborate with academic advisors, faculty, and student support services to identify students needing support, design targeted interventions and participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement efforts focused on retention and progression. Faculty member is expected to engage in scholarly activities related to nursing education and student retention and contribute to the College's strategic initiative to close the gaps in student outcomes. This role will also support accreditation and program evaluation processes through data collection, analysis, and reporting related to student outcomes. A portion of effort will be dedicated to the UKHC CCNE accreditation of the residency program and the College of Nursing. The required education is an MSN and/or a DNP, EdD or PhD. Experience with curriculum development and outcomes-based education. Experience in providing academic support to a broad range of learners preferred. An active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse and a minimum of 2 years of related professional clinical practice nursing experience within the last 5 years is required.
