Healthcare2u, located in NW metropolitan Austin off Loop, 360 NE of RM2222, seeks an Account Manager (web: healthc2u.com) Employer sells a supplemental group medical benefit that is offered to employees at companies throughout the United States. This product is part of the supplemental group benefit offerings that a corporate HR Department offers upon new hire and open enrollment. Position requires a minimum of 3 years' experience. Job focus is account development and maintenance, post-sale. This is not insurance. Employer is classified as a Direct Primary Care health organization (DPC), and is part of the evolving landscape of healthcare delivery in the United States. It offers a no-claims alternative to enrolled members who seek medical care via office visits, urgent care, or telehealth. Healthcare2u's network of board-certified physicians throughout the US provide this service via a flat fee of $10-25 per visit. For employees with high-deductible health plans, the HC2U product gives employees choices to obtain medical care at lower costs. Duties include:
- New client onboarding and relationship management. Interact with HR managers, C-Suite, and corporate decision makers.
- Collaborate with group benefit broker channel partners.
- Maintain and develop ongoing relationships with client decision makers who are responsible for administering employee benefits.
- Educate the client in how to promote and educate employee end-users about this employment benefit. More education equals better utilization of the product.
- Achieve client retention, annual renewals, and enrollment / revenue targets. Engage in constant, ongoing written and verbal communication with the client and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform upselling, as needed.

We normally recruit qualified applicants who work in Group Benefits insurance brokerages. To be qualified for the HC2U position, employer requires licensing in Life/Health, and/or prior extensive training in health insurance plans. This is a complicated, highly regulated industry, and the Account Manager must be able to converse with HR and C-Suite decision makers on topics related to the Affordable Care Act as it relates to MEC plans.
Requirements
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in post-sale client account management, with cradle-to-grave responsibility for the client relationship lifecycle.
- License in life/health insurance (State of Texas) or former license; or alternate training in health insurance regs and MEC plan requirements under the Affordable Care Act.
- Experience with business insurance sales channels. (Licensed Medicare reps or individuals whose experience is enrolling consumers is NOT the profile we are looking for. We require someone who has functioned in a corporate Account Management/post-sale cycle.)
- Experience with Salesforce CRM or similar robust Client Relationship Management database software. Oracle CX, preferred.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal business-English skills. Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
- Authorization to work in the US. No sponsorship available at this time.
- College preferred, HS diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to commute M-F to corporate offices on N. Capital of Highway, off Loop 360.
- Ability to engage in occasional day travel to client sites -- with possible overnights several times a year.
- Hybrid Schedule Available after 3 Months - Must be willing to work in-office FULL TIME for the first 3 months of employment. Hybrid remote schedule (3 days office / 2 days remote) available after that time, for employees who meet documented performance parameters including but not limited to becoming fully trained and fully functional; and becoming effective in their role. The 3-month "cutoff" is not a hard number, and may vary, based on the individual performance of an employee and business needs.
